Tyler Whitcomb
Lead Teaching Pastor
Tyler was born and raised in Warren, MI, in a home deeply rooted in faith. From an early age, church life was woven into the rhythm of his childhood. At nine years old, Tyler encountered the transforming power of Jesus through the Romans Road, beginning a lifelong journey of discipleship.

At sixteen, Tyler was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, a significant turning point that profoundly shaped his life's trajectory and deepened his dependence on God. Initially drawn to a career in law enforcement after high school, Tyler experienced severe health complications, culminating in emergency surgery in 2014. During this challenging season, God clarified and solidified Tyler’s call to pastoral ministry.

Responding to this call, Tyler spent time serving at a Christian camp in Cleveland, GA, where he gained clarity and direction for ministry. He began formal theological training at Detroit Bible Institute before moving into active pastoral ministry. In 2016, Tyler joined Woodside Bible Church in Troy, MI, where he served in the Collective Ministries, ministering to young adults and regularly contributing to the teaching rotation. Click here to read Tyler's full bio!
